This is an exciting opportunity to develop new fundraising opportunities for a charity which is initiating innovative and groundbreaking support for young women from deprived backgrounds. The Major Gifts and Grants department is new, incorporating the existing Trusts and Foundations team and building a Major Donor fundraising programme.
YWCA has ambitious plans for the future which will require us to increase our income secured from trusts and foundations. Working as part of the Major Gifts and Grants Team, you will play a key role in contributing to the achievement of the team's annual income target by securing grants from a portfolio of foundations and charitable trusts. A particular focus of your role will be to apply to large foundations for a range of national projects.
You should possess experience of working within a trust fundraising team in the charity sector to include putting together successful funding applications and using specialist research tools. Good oral and written communication skills are essential for the role.
This is a full-time, permanent position with some flexible/home working considered for the right candidate.
