About the role

Rockinghorse Children's Charity brings hope to families in challenging times, improving the quality of life for some of the most vulnerable children in Sussex and Surrey.

Our aim is simple. It is to make life better for sick children by ensuring medical facilities in respite centres and hospitals for children and young people are as cutting edge, comfortable, friendly and accessible as possible.

The plans for the next two years will see us expand and operate in new parts of the region and beyond that there is a feasibility study underway that will define our longer-term objectives. That the need is greater and that we can do more is beyond doubt.

You will be joining us at a critical point in our history and the role of Chief Executive offers you a genuine opportunity for professional achievement and fulfilment.

The leadership that you offer must be capable of inspiring others.

You will be a self-starter with the ability to think on your feet in these fast moving times. An experienced and skilled marketeer, you will be able to raise awareness of the importance of the work that we do and as we move into new parts of the region, to convert this awareness into active support.

You will also need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of the context we operate in as a charity, appreciate our accountabilities to the people we support and who support us, and you must be able to share our passion.
